A ‘Typical’ Day

When the children arrive each morning they can select their own activity, which could include sand or water play, dressing up, play dough, puzzles, drawing, small and large construction sets. On most days these activities will be offered both indoors and outside

The mornings’ activities then include: news time; pre school work; snack; table top games, for example, numbers, colouring, matching or computer work; music session and story time. We also include French, Makaton signing and Yogabugs on different days during the week.

Afternoon sessions start with lunch, where children and adults sit together to enjoy this period.

SNACKS: Snacks are provided by the Nursery. We aim to encourage healthy eating habits and avoid foods with a high salt, fat or sugar content. International foods are often added to enhance particular topics

LUNCH: Children bring their own packed lunch. Advice and ideas are on offer from nursery.

OUTSIDE PLAY: We take the children outside every day (weather permitting), and we have a variety of outside toys and activities for them to enjoy.

We will be making a garden area where the children plant bulbs, strawberries, beans, courgettes, herbs etc. We are also able to make use of the Primary School’s wooden play equipment.
