The Nursery has six members of staff and is registered with OFSTED for a maximum of 26 children per session - the Head of Nursery is Alison Stoddart, Deputy Head is Kerry Niblett, our Nursery Assistants are Sue Allan, Clare Burrows and Kylie Dunsby, and our SEN Assistant is Sylvia Patrick.

Alison joined the nursery in November 2003 and holds a PGCE and Montessori Diploma. She recently gained Early Years Professional Status. Kerry has a Diploma in Pre-school Practice. All staff hold First Aid and Health and Hygiene Certificates. Sue achieved her NVQ2 in Early Years and Childcare in Summer 2004, and Clare has gained her NVQ2 in Early Years and Childcare (Winter 2005), and NVQ3 in Children’s Care Learning and Development (February 2008). Kylie joined us in October 2006, and has now completed her NVQ2 in Children’s Care Learning and Development. All the staff work exceptionally well together as a team, and this is a great strength of the Nursery.

All staff attend regular in-service training courses independently, and in liason with the Primary School training days where appropriate. They also hold internal updates and training sessions where they invite outside experts to speak.
